Lula Jane Harris, 89, of Englewood, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at her residence. A native of Monroe County, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Englewood. She was the daughter of the late Minnie and Henry Baker. Lula and her husband, Clarence, received recognition for 20 years of dedicated service as presidents of the Prospect Cemetery and Church. This was awarded for all of their leadership, hard work and accomplishments and for keeping the grounds and church well maintained. Survivors include her husband, Clarence "Red" Harris of Englewood; and one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dr. Martin Wilhelm of Athens. Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Monday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Russ Maples officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at Prospect Cemetery on Tuesday for the 11 a.m. committal service. Pallbearers will be Steve Lee, Gene Carter, Rob Long, David Self, Brad Moses, Doyle Barnett, Gene Riggs and Paul Derrick.
