Obituary

Lyndon Wayne Evans, 53, loving father, of Etowah, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Gene Evans. He was a Christian of the Baptist faith, and was a construction/ironworker. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde and Weltha Wilson, and John A. Evans.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hickman of Etowah; one daughter, Grace Hickman of Etowah; his mother, Syble Wilson Evans of Etowah; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Gene Smith of Etowah, and Donna and Mike Guinan of Cleveland; two special sisters-in-law, Tiny Bowers of Englewood and Barbara Morrow of Ball Play; an aunt, Tunis Terrell, an uncle, Norman Wilson and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 18th at Coghill Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Bryan officiating. There will be no visitation held.
