Maggie Bell Hampton, 96, of Etowah, died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Woods Memorial Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Dolan Williams. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hampton; five sisters, Lucille Bivens, Emma Mahoney, Edna Barefield, Nellie Wilson, and Beulah Williams; and two brothers, Arvil Williams and Fred Williams. Survivors include one sister, Nina Bryan of Etowah; two brothers, C. Ray Williams and Burkett Williams, both of Etowah; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 27, 2010 in the South Chapel with the Rev. Ted Watson and the Rev. Homer Belcher officiating. Burial will follow the service at New Zion Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.
