Obituary

Mamie Lou Dunn age 82 of Reliance, TN passed away on Sunday October 6, 2013 at her residence. She was a native of Polk County and retired from Hardwick Clothing Company. Mamie was a beautician for many years and owner/operator of Dunn's Grocery and convenience store.
She is the daughter of the late Elijah Hearse and Martha Merrell Rymer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years: Thomas Luther Dunn; parents: listed above; infant brother: Elijah Hearse Rymer Jr.; sister: Eunice Jones.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Johnny and Candy Dunn of Greasy Creek, TN; one daughter and son-in-law: Marcella and Ron True of Lake Wales, FL; sister: Johnnie Lou Wilcoxon of Greasy Creek, TN; grandchildren and spouses: Kevin and Joy Bates of Cleveland, TN, Alan and Becky Bates of Benton, TN, Grant Dunn of Greasy Creek, TN, Josh Dunn and Brittany Lynn of Greasy Creek, TN, Jeremy Bates of Dayton, Nevada and Tammy Newell of Cleveland, TN; great-grandchildren: Cody, Rylee, Savana, Ethan and Georgia Bates, Colton Dixon and Camryn Dunn; special friends and travel companions: Ray and Loranza Frank and family.
The Family would like to say a special thank you to Caris Hospice of Athens.
Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 7, 2013 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Rymer, Rev. Wilford Wright and Rev. Steve Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble Tuesday at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., and proceed to Reliance Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service. Grant Dunn, Josh Dunn, Kevin Bates, Allan Bates, Carroll Cates, Cody Bates and Terry Satterfield will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ray Frank, Billy O'Neal, Carson Bain, Noah Green, David Cross and Jeremy Bates.
