MARGARET JANE POWELL MIDDLETON age 62, peacefully passed away February 18, 2011 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center, Maryville, TN. She will be missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Middleton was the daughter of the late Allie Moore Powell and Luther Carter Powell. She was employed at the Tennessee Department of Transportation in Chattanooga for over 25 years. She was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church of Chattanooga, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Survivors include her sister Mary Helen Powell Byers of Knoxville. Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Etowah, TN. Rev Lee Fox and Rev. Rebecca Reed will officiate. The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the fellowship hall at First Baptist Church. There will be a private interment at Green Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions are made to First Baptist Church, 824 Washington Ave. Etowah, TN 37331.
