Marie Gurley Harbison, 91, of Polk Co., TN, passed away, Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Etowah Health Care Center, Etowah, TN. She was a daughter of the late James Wesley and Donnie Jenkins Gurley and is preceded in death by her husband, Burch Harbison; her parents, listed above; brothers Coker Gurley, Ogle Gurley, and Creed Gurley; and sisters, Essie Davis and Hallie Firestone.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Ann Harbison of Delano, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Larry Clark of Delano, TN; grandchildren, Roger Clark and wife, Tracy, Jeff Clark, Greg Harbison and wife, Paula, and Lisa Ledford and husband, Jarvis; great-grandchildren, Lainie, Gunner, Miranda, and Tessa Clark, Dakota Clark, Amanda Cardwell and husband, Brandon, Abby and Burch Harbison and Emma, Anna, and Luke Ledford; great-great-grandson, Cooper Cardwell; and soon to be great-great-granddaughter, Lexi Cardwell.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2013 at Old Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Kinzel Hooker officiating. The body will lie in state from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2013 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family request memorials to be made to Old Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
