Marie Onith Derrick Jones, 88, of Etowah, went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 18, 2019. Marie was a loving wife, Mother, and Grandmother.  She was a member of First Church of God of East Etowah. She was preceded in death by her parents, Erastus and Beulah Derrick, 3 brothers John, Ralph, and Junior, 3 sisters Delsa Rae, Emma, and Gertrude.

Marie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ralph Jones, sons and daughters-in-law: Wayne and Lois Jones, Billy and Jenny Jones, and Dale and Nancy Jones, grandchildren Austin and Macaila Jones, step-grandchild and husband Heather and Brandon Kerns, step-great grandchild Hunter Kerns, and a special niece Aileen Ingram.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019 in the Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Doyle Lloyd officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 and proceed to the Mars Hill Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
