Marvin Torbett, age 83 of Etowah, TN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 15, 2017. He was a member of Etowah Church of Christ for over 36 years where he served as a song leader, deacon, and elder. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Ida Torbett; brother, Cecil Torbett; and sister, Rhea Borden. He was a great father and fantastic husband.

Survivors include wife of 60 years, Othella Torbett of Etowah, TN; son, Jeff Torbett of Buford, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Harstel and Imogene Torbett of Athens, TN and J.R. Torbett of Lithia Springs, GA; and sister, Faye York of Etowah, TN. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017 at McMinn Memory Gardens. No formal visitation will be held.
