Mary E. Barnett, 78, of Englewood, TN passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at Etowah Health Care Center.

She was the daughter of the late Barney and Pearl Christy, and she was a member of First Christian Church of Englewood. Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Barnett; and brother, Darryl R. Christy.

Mary was an avid Elvis fan and had a humorous personality. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Christy and Kenny Carver, Tami Cole and Beth Barnett all of Englewood; grandchildren, Megan Carver, Darby Holloway, Dusty and Christy Carver, Emily Cole, Abe Moore, Chase Barnett and Noah Holloway; great-granddaughter, Lily.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 23, 2014 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Minister Ron Blevins officiating.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service.Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home and proceed to Cochran Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m., committal service.

Kenny Carver, Dusty Carver, Darby Holloway, Tom Dotson, Stan McConkey and Paul Derrick will serve as pallbearers.
