Mary Ellen Daugherty, 85 of Englewood, TN, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at NHC of Athens. She was a member of the Englewood Church of Christ in Englewood, TN. Mary was the daughter of the late Homer and Glenice Ball. She was proceded in death by her parents, listed above; husband, Eugene Daugherty; sister, Rose Neal and brother Homer Ball Jr.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-laws; Randy and Sharon Daugherty and Jimmy and Stacy Daugherty, daughters and son in-laws; Donna and David Foley, Lillian Ann Cook and Sonya and Steve Williams, grandchildren; Denise Story, Missy Frye, Lisa Williams, Kristy Burchfield, Briana Daugherty, Brent Daugherty, Tiffany Daugherty, and Connor Daugherty, great-grandchildren;Chris Williams, Chastity Mangham, Matthew Burchfield, Jacob Story, Daniel Story and Brittney Stone, one sister; Aileen McDaniel and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 9, 2016 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the funeral home and go in procession to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 11:00 a.m. Committal Service.
