Mary Jane Machen Davis, 84, of Etowah, TN, passed away surrounded by her loving family Sunday, May 15, 2022.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a 1956 graduate of Etowah High School and a long-time member of Etowah Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Monica Lynn Davis; parents, Jesse T. and Grace Jeanette Gentry Machen; step-mother, Pearl Machen; brothers, Jo Ed Machen, Ted Machen, Reece Machen, James Herman Machen, Abe Machen, Billy Machen, Kenneth Godfrey; sisters, Jessie Lee Guffey, Hazel Pittman, Dot Christa, Ineda Snoddy.

Survivors include her devoted and loving husband of 65 years, Bobby Davis; loving and devoted daughters, Lisa Dalton, Kim Haney and boyfriend, Larry McNelly, Rita and husband, Charles Slack; grandchildren, Leslie and husband, Nathan Redd, Heath Slack, Tinley Barrineau and fiancé, Karson Soto; great-granddaughter, Magnolia Grace-Lynn Soto; brother, P.D. and wife, Sue Machen; sister, Cora Anne and husband, Paul Scott; special sisters-in-law; Joyce Davis, Jeannie King, and Margie Hodges; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Brandon Watters and staff as well as the Adoration Home Health and Hospice and staff for taking exceptional care of her.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2022 in Green Hill Cemetery with Preacher Mark Stephenson officiating.

No formal visitation will be held.

Charles Slack, Heath Slack, Larry McNelly, Haskell Swafford, Tim King and Robbie King will serve as pallbearers.
