Mary Olive Roberson, 97, of Etowah, TNformerly of Athens, OH passed awaySaturday, August 2, 2014 at Wellington Place of Athens, TN. She was a member of Wesleyanna United Methodist Church of Etowah and a member of the Athens, OH, Eastern Star for over 50 years. Preceded in death by herhusband of 78 years, John William Roberson Sr.; daughter, Virginia Lou Roberson Evans of Tucson, AZ

Survivors include 2 sons and 1 daughter-in-law, John William Jr. and Mary Roberson of Etowah, TN, and Ben Roberson of Etowah, TN; grandchildren, Eddie and Jimmy Evans of Athens, OH, Mike Evans of Kearney, NE, Susan Roberson Smelas of Clermont, FL, and John William Roberson III of Maryville, TN; great-grandchildren, Robin Evans of Gerchsheim, Germany, Bill and Rick Roberson of Maryville, TN and Michael T. and Abigail Smelas of Clermont, FL.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 6,2014 at West Union Street Cemetery in Athens, OH. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday August 10, 2014 at Wesleyanna United Methodist Church, Co. Rd. 609, Etowah. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:30 p.m., Sunday prior to the service at the church.
