Mary Sue Stewart, 70, of Etowah, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.daughter of the late Jack and Ruth Cox, she was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Benton. She was a longtime employee of the McMinn County Economic Development Authority. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Kelly Stewart Revis; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Jalyn Hood. Survivors include her husband, Johnny Bob Stewart of Etowah, to whom she was a loving wife; she was a precious mother and mother-in-law to Kay and Steve Blair of Etowah, Greg and Maureen Hood of Kenosha, Wis., Melissa and Russell Williams of Etowah, Michael Hood of Etowah, Colyn and John Martin of Norfolk, Va., and Craig Stewart of Etowah; she was a loving sister of Johnny Cox, Billie Parker, Jackie McClary, Jerry Cox and Melinda Land; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Whitehead, Minister Louis Rouse and her daughter, Melissa Williams, officiating.The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday prior to the service.Family and friends will assemble at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and proceed to Green Hill Cemetery for the 11 a.m. committal service. Wesley Johnson, Tim Cox, Payton Robinette, Doug Parker, Craig Stewart and Dennis Coleman will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Board of the McMinn County Economic Development Authority.
