A native and resident of McMinn County most of her life, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Bennie Lee Mantooth Kemp. She was of the Baptist faith, and was retired from Golden Gallon with several years of service. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherry L. Godsey; one brother, James R. Kemp and one sister, Sarah Bryan.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Eddie and Kathy Stuteville of Charleston, John and Karen Sullivan of Athens, and Lane Sullivan of Sweetwater; a special son, Sam Sullivan; three sisters, Lovada Martin of Etowah, Joyce Trahan of Orlando, Fla., and Judy Doven of Sweetwater; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2010 in the North Chapel with the Rev. Pete Mullins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12 noon, Saturday October 23rd, and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 1 p.m. committal service. Tara Pulliam, Heath Pulliam, Susan Fox, Jay Godsey, Hunter Sullivan and Chad Crisp will serve as pallbearers.
