Mary Nell "Tootie" Rogers, 78, a lifelong resident of Etowah, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at Etowah Health Care Center. A native of McMinn County, she was a member of Brook Hill Baptist Church. A daughter of the late Ike and Minnie Benson, she was preceded in death by her husband, O'dean Rogers; three sisters, Willie Tipton, Frankie Dodson and Nana Lou Davis; and two brothers, Daily and Raymond Benson. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Leroy Davis of Englewood; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Hada Rogers of Tempe, Ariz., and Dale and Devan Rogers of Etowah; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Blair of Etowah; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Saturday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Mark Hensley officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Sunday in Goodsprings Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
