Matthew Perian, 18, of Etowah, TN, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

Matthew was an employee at the Lost Sea. On his days off, he worked at the Farmhouse Restaurant. Matthew was involved in the FFA at Central High School of McMinn County from 2017 until he graduated in 2021. He then obtained his FFA state degree. He was a member of the Etowah Rural Fire and Rescue since 2014. Matthew will be dearly missed by his fire department and farmhouse family.

Preceded in death by his paternal great-grandmother, Myrtle Waller; paternal great-grandparents, Sandy and Ellen Perian; maternal great-grandparents Rev. A.M. "Buster" and Florence Bledsoe; maternal great-grandparents, Bolin and Julie Watson.

Survivors include his parents, Kenneth and Audrey Perian; brothers and sister-in-law, Brandon Perian, Kyle and Devin Nelms; paternal grandparents, James and Jimmie Lou Perian; maternal grandparents, Rev. Benny and Jane Watson; uncles, Lawrence and Steve Perian, Wade Watson; nephew, Braxton Nelms; niece, Hynlee Grizzle; cousins, Stephen, Rachel, Shannon, Nathan, Stephanie, and Daniel; special friend, Josh "Waterboy" Brown.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at North Etowah Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Bledsoe officiating. Interment will follow at Delano Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service at the church.
