Michael S. Franks, 56 of Bell Buckle, TN formerly of Etowah passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016 at his residence. He is the son of Donald and Joyce Melton. He was previously employed as a machinist at Nissan. Proceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and Arizona and Long.

Survivors include his parents, Donald and Joyce Melton of Etowah; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca and David Haltom, Charlotte and Robert Holton; step-brother, Jeffrey Melton; nieces, nephews and their spouses, Angela and Josh Massey, Michael and Tabitha Haltom, Jonathan Croft, Macy and Martin Stanton; several aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at New Bethel Cemetery with Bro. Whiting Delk officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
