Mildred Irene Rogers, 78, of Athens, TN passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Starr Regional Medical Center of Athens. She was a daughter of the late Sullivan and Ruby Dixon and a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. Proceded in death by her parents, listed above; 3 brothers, Harold, Bill and John Dixon.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, James Rogers of Athens, TN; daughter, Patti Rogers of Athens, TN; brother, Chester Dixon of Riceville, TN; sister, Elizabeth Green, of Riceville, TN; Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2014 in the South chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Harmon officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Double Springs Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m., committal service. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Wilson, Maynard Wilson, Dee Liles and J.B. Wilson.
