Mildred Ann Sutton, 71, of Chattanooga, TN formerly of Etowah, TN passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at her residence.

She was a Daughter of the late Lewis and Ruby Sutton, and was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Alice Sutton of Chattanooga, formerly of Etowah; and brother, Bill Sutton of FL, formerly of Etowah.

Mildred attended Etowah Grammar School and graduated from Etowah High School as Valedictorian, and graduated Tennessee Wesleyan College with honors. She worked at Erlanger Medical Center for 36 years in the Histology and Cytology Department working with Cancer slides. Mildred was a member of New Heights Baptist Church where she helped out in the children's dept.

Survivors include, 2 sisters, Doris Jackson and Helen Grant both of FL; Close cousins, Mary Maxwell of Etowah and Walter Younce of Sevierville, TN; several cousins, nephews, nieces and grandnephews and grandnieces.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2014 in the Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. Walter Hare officiating. Family and friends will proceed to Green Hill Cemetery for the committal service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in the North Chapel of the funeral home.
