Obituary

Minnie Lou Best, born Minnie Lou Fain, went home to be with our Lord and savior on Friday, July 13, 2018. Minnie was born on June 16, 1940 in Athens, TN to Ross Fain and Otsie Rodgers Fain. She was a retired School Bus Driver for Hillsborough County and spoke often of all the kids she remembered dearly. Though her primary residence was in Tampa, FL she was never more at peace than when she was at her home in Weeki Wachee. The outdoors brought her so much joy, and whether she was spending time with her friends, fishing off the dock, or kayaking down the river on her Hobie, her love for the outdoors was transparent. Minnie's only greater love was her family. There was nothing that made her shine brighter than being surrounded by her family for holidays, cookouts and even summer vacations. Minnie is survived by her loving husband, Robert C. Best; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Tracy Best, Billy and Mary Best; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Curtis Culverson; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Wilson and Irene Rodgers; 4 brothers, Johnny Fain, Alvin Fain, Bryan Fain and Edgar Lee Fain. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 21st at Fain Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
