Morgan Elizabeth Johnson, age 17, of Englewood, went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. A native of McMinn County and a lifelong resident of Englewood, she was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church where she was on the Projection and the Black Light Signing Team. She was also a member of the Central High School Soccer and Track Teams. Her hobbies included running, doing crafts and hanging out with her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her grandfather; Johnny Johnson Sr. Survivors include her father and mother, Johnny and Laura Johnson of Englewood; sister, Ashley Johnson of Englewood; grandparents, Larry and Lorene Bryan of Etowah and Joyce Johnson of Etowah; uncles and aunts, Steven and Brooke Bryan, Allen and Michele Johnson and Jill Johnson; cousin, Ethan Bryan; and several other relatives and special friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2012, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Oran Creasman, Rev. Scott Duckworth, Rev. Mark Roberts and Dr. Jimmy McCarter officiating. Interment to follow at Sunrise Cemetery. Tony Brown, Travis Giles, John Raper, David Truelove, Scott Cass, and Marshall Shaw will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012, at the funeral home.
