Nancy Jane Moates age 71 of Etowah, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018. Jane retired from the Etowah Utilities after 33 years of employment. She is the daughter of the late Arlie and Louise Williams.

She is preceded in death by her parents, listed above; sister: Margie Wilson of Etowah; brothers: Ralph Williams of Englewood, Jerry Williams of Arab, AL; brothers-in-law: Fleetes Barnett of Englewood, Larry Lynn Moates.

Survivors include her husband: Eddie Moates of Etowah; sons and daughter-in-law, Shawn Moates of Etowah, Shane and Lisa Moates of Etowah; grandchildren, Austin and Jaden Moates; sisters and brother-in-law: Bennie Barnette of Englewood, Annette and Jeff Swafford of Etowah; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Nancy Moates of Houston TX; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 5, 2018 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Justin Brown officiating.The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 at Green Hill Cemetery for the committal service.
