Oleda Jean DeBord Begley, 88, of Etowah, TN passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. She passed away at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family and holding firm to her faith that she would soon be in the arms of her sweet Jesus.

She was a native of Hawkins County, TN but has lived in McMinn County since 1959. She was a devout Christian and a member of Delano Baptist Church. She retired from Athens Products.

She was the daughter of the late Will and Mae DeBord.

Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Earnest Begley; brothers, Earl, Ira, and George DeBord; brother and sister-in-law, Emmett and Helen DeBord; sister and brother-in-law, Opal and Jim Bates; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charlie and Birdie Begley; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ken and Jean Minor; sisters-in-law, Lucy Sanders and Lena Mae Begley; and one great-grandson, Bentley Earnest Begley.

Survivors include her three loving children, daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Steven Davis of Etowah, son, Mike Begley of Etowah, and son and daughter-in-law, William "Bill" and Deborah Begley of Athens; grandchildren, Dustin Aderhold, Amanda Begley Cooley (Jason), Micah Begley (Amber), Julie Davis (Kevin McGraw), Matthew Begley (Ashely), and Trey Fealy; great-grandchildren, Alex Cooley, Kyle Cooley, Molly Cooley, Landen Cooley, Lucas Cooley, Logan Cooley, Hunter Russell, Dalton Cranfield; daughter-in-law, Mary Begley; sisters-in-law, Barbara DeBord and Shelby Payne; brother-in-law, Clifton Sanders; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2022 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. John Powers officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Saturday prior to the service.

Interment will follow the service in Green Hill.

Micah Begley, Matthew Begley, Dustin Aderhold, Jason Cooley, Kevin McGraw, Trey Fealy, Alex Cooley and Kyle Cooley will serve as pallbearers. Landen, Lucas, and Logan Cooley will serve as honorary pallbearers.
