Otellah "Hap" McConkey, age 86 of Englewood, TN, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Ross and Ann Brock. Otellah was a member of Mars Hill United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry McConkey; brothers, Bill, Bob, John "Brownie", Sam, and Junior Brock; sisters, Sue Barnett and Hazel Brock.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Jane McConkey and Larry Jr. "Chip" and Brigitte McConkey; daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Lee McMillian; and special daughter, Chan Risner and husband Randy; grandchildren, Kevin McConkey of Nashville, Cody and Kara McConkey of Etowah, Amanda and Jason Horn of Maryville, and Jeffrey Wolfe of Riceville; and great-grandchildren, Caleb Horn of Florida, Jared Horn of Maryville, Carter McConkey of Etowah, and Ty William Risner of Flower Mound, TX. The family would like to thank Wellington Place in Athens and Etowah Health Care for the care she received while there.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at McMinn Memory Gardens with Rev. Katie Morgan-Harper officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
