Ozell Newman Norwood, 76, of Etowah, passed away Friday,April 20, 2012, at McMinn Memorial Nursing Home. She was a daughter of the late Colonel and Etta Newman and was preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Norwood; her parents, listed above; one son, Tommy Brooks; and two brothers, Howard and Jerry Newman.Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Norwood of Athens, TN; one grandson, Caleb Carter of Athens, TN; one sister, Eula Mae Huggins of Englewood, TN; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Jimmie Newman of Tellico Plains, TN; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carolyn Newman of Athens, TN, Zelma Newman of Englewood, TN, Kenneth and Elizabeth Norwood of Cleveland, TN and James and Mary Janes of Benton, TN; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at Mars Hill Cemetery with Rev. Doyle Bowers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 22nd in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.
