Pat Guerra, 69, of Athens, TN passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
A devoted father, proud grandfather, and beloved family man, Pat found his greatest joy in the time he spent with those he loved. Whether gathered around the dinner table, celebrating holidays, or simply enjoying each other's company, family was always at the center of his life. As an outdoorsman, he loved spending time fishing and enjoying the beauty of nature. Some of his happiest moments were spent on the water, casting a line and appreciating the peace and quiet of the outdoors. He was also a passionate football fan. He faithfully cheered on the Washington Redskins and the Tennessee Volunteers, enjoying every season with enthusiasm and loyalty. Watching football with family and friends created many cherished memories that will live on for years to come.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Viola and Jesse Guerra; daughter, Angie Goyne.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Billy Guerra and April; daughter and son-in-law, Summer Hooper and Chad; son-in-law, Greg Goyne; grandchildren, Emilio Degollado, Faith Goyne, Elisha Guerra, Megan Guerra, Shawn Guerra, Isabella Hooper, Ethan Hooper; great-grandchildren, Alikie Degollado, Victoria Degollado, Luke Moore, Mya Moore, Joseph Guerra; siblings and in-laws, Mary Crisp and Donald Montano, Sue Englant and Mark, Louis Guerra, Jessie “Chewy” Guerra, Bertha Robles and Tony; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Funeral service will be held, Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with brother-in-law, Pastor Jackie Crisp officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
Family and friends will assemble on Sunday, August 9, 2026 in Green Hill Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
