Patricia Darnell Thompson DeBord, 58 of Etowah, TN passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, Monday, September 24, 2018.

She was born to the late Gary Joe Thompson and Shirley Thompson Patton.

Preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Gary Joe Thompson, Jr., Terry Martin Thompson; sister, Donna Jean Biggam; daughter, Jessica Lynn DeBord and father-in-law, Ira Emory DeBord.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Ricky Lynn DeBord of Etowah; four children, Brandy and husband, Brian Billings, Ashley and Alyssa DeBord and son, Joshua DeBord; brothers, Scott and wife Genie Thompson and Ricky Mason Thompson; eight precious grandchildren, Gabby, Gracie and Ethan Billings, Dustin and Katelyn Conner, Dalton Parsons, JuliAnna and Jessa Lynn Smith; many nieces and nephews; special mother-in-law, Barbara Ann DeBord; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Carlessa DeBord, John and Becky Cole, Larry and Rhonda Reed.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who fought a hard battle with cancer but finally won. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday September 29, 2018 in the Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow service to Green Hill Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service.
