Obituary

Paul "Tank" Wilson , age 73, of Etowah, passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 11, 2019.

Paul was a McMinn Central High School teacher and a freshman football coach. He was also the owner of WCPH Radio and a Shelter Insurance Sales Manager.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John P. Wilson and Ruby Gann, brother, Evan Wilson, and granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Wilson.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Williams, daughter and son-in-law, Tonia and Brandon Watters, son, Chad Wilson, Lori Derrick and Rusty Coleman whom he loved like they were his children, grandchildren, Russell and Meghan Watters, Holly and Lee Shaw, Johnna Varner, Mandie Watters, and Emily Wilson, and great-grandchildren, Allison Varner, Lillie Givens, and Riley Shaw. The family would like to send a special thank you to Mamie Coleman for all of the faithful prayers.

No formal visitation will be held.

Graveside funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at McMinn Memory Gardens with Dennis Bordwine and Chaplin Derrick McCosh officiating.

Chad Wilson, Rusty Coleman, Brandon Watters, Russell Watters, Lee Shaw, and Cody Cox will serve as pallbearers.
