Peggy Hitchcock, 87, of Etowah, TN, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

Preceded in death by her husband, Burl Hamelton Hitchcock; parents, Thurston Elkaney Campbell and Susan Elizabeth Ann Miller; sister, Laura Jean Grimes; brother, Bobby Ray Campbell.

Peggy had multiple jobs as waitressing and working in a factory; hobbies that included crocheting, fishing, desert hiking, traveling, pic nics, and gardening. She was well known for canning apple butter and sweet pickle relish. She enjoyed her church, friendships and fellowships.

Survivors include her daughters, Catherine Ann Riggs and partner, Rick, Glenda Brewer and husband, Sam; son, Michael Allan Hitchcock and wife, Alice; sister, Mary Nelle Maples; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 29, 2022 in Green Hill Cemetery with Rev. James Morgan officiating.

No formal visitation will be held.
