Ralph Buckner, 87 of Delano, TN passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at a hospital in Chattanooga, TN after a short illness.

He was a son of the late John and Callie Buckner.

Preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, Jerry Buckner and Dexter Buckner; 3 brothers, Luther, J.L. and Clayton Buckner; 5 sisters, Ona Ray, Onoth, Eda Sue, Dorthy and Mildred.

In 1951 he married Mamie Henry, the love of his life. Together they have 7 children, 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Survivors include his wife, Mamie Buckner; daughters, Virginia (Bobby) Freeman, Elizabeth Franklin, Wanda (Jordan) Prock; granddaughter, Sissy (Jesse) Chastain; sons, Ralph Buckner, Jr., Frankie Buckner (Alice Bradford) and brother, Reed Buckner.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2019 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Harris officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 11 ^th and proceed to Conasauga Cemetery for the 12:00 noon committal service.

Serving as pallbearers, his son, Frankie Buckner; 2 great-grandsons, Jesse Lowe and Tyler Robinson, Eric Buckner, Gordan Snyder, Bobby Moses and Jesse Chastain.
