Ralph Rowland Davis, 80, of Englewood, TN, passed away, Monday, September 23, 2013 at his residence.He retired from the US Post Office as a Postmaster and served in the US Navy during the Korean War on the USS Eldorado. A Member of First Baptist Church of Englewood and a member of the Gospelaires Quartet. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Rickey Wilson; parents, Robert and Vesta Davis; 2 brothers-in-law, Rutherford Davis and Howard Lovingood; and 1 niece, Jane Phemister. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Davis of Englewood; children and spouses, Carol Davis and Larry Buckner of Cookeville, Randy Davis of Athens, Beth and David Truelove of Englewood, JJ Murrey of Athens; grandchildren and spouses, Shelly and Keith Hembree, Ashley and David Sims, Zachary and Bethany Buckner, Kyle Buckner, Cody Biggam, Morgan Biggam, Jessie Truelove and Abbie Truelove; great-grandchildren, Kayla Miller, Kayli Hembree, Bella Buckner,Bessie Buckner, Betty Buckner, Anna Kate Sims, Raylen Hembree and Zayne Buckner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold Davis of Athens, Boyd and Wilma Davis of Englewood, Glen and Linda Davis of Cleveland, Jimmy and Bobbie Davis of Cookeville, Tommy and Gayle Davis of Athens, Gene and Nancy Davis of Athens; sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita Davis-Lovingood of Englewood, Margaret and Joe Pardue of Cleveland, Betty and Pat Torbett of Englewood, Ruth and Sherman Patterson of Knoxville, Trula and Ray Patterson of Athens; sisters-in-law, Betty Mayfield of Etowah, Bobbie Mayfield of Maryville, Dean Pickens of Athens and Elizabeth Mayfield of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at First Baptist Church, Englewood with Pastor Russ Maples officiating. Family will receive friends at the church from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at McMinn Memory Gardens, Thursday, September 26th for the 11:00 a.m., committal service with Military Honors. Brothers will serve as pallbearers, Kenny Dixon, Kendall Armstrong, Gene Carter, Jerome Reid, Doyle Barnett and David Crabtree will serve as honorary pallbearers.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Englewood Youth, P.O.
