Ray A. Stone, 89, of Delano, TN passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025.

Ray was a graduate of Etowah High School and absolutely loved and was proud to be a part of the Etowah Community. After over 35yrs, Ray retired from Bowater. Although he hadn't been able to attend in several years, he was a longtime member of Delano Baptist Church. Ray served in the National Guard and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He loved the Lord, his Country, his family and watching the Tennessee Volunteers Football Team. The highlight of his day was his great-granddaughter, Haddie Mae, which Ray called "his little ray of sunshine."

He is preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Ethel Stone; sisters, Ruth Loftis and Anna Mae Studdard; brothers, Roy Stone, Kenneth Stone, M.L. Stone, Hubert Stone, Ruben Stone, Parnick Stone and Jarvis Stone.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Hazel Rogers Stone; daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Mike Martin; grandchildren, Brandon Martin and fiancé Chelsea Finch, Brooke and spouse Caleb Cass; great-grandchild, Haddie Mae Cass; sister-in-law, Mary Stone; several nieces and nephews as well as some very special friends.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2025, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Danny Stone officiating.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at Green Hill Cemetery on Monday, June 23rd for the 10:00 a.m. committal service.

Rex Stone, Chris Stone, Lynn Gay, Russ Chastain, Brandon Martin and Caleb Cass will serve as pallbearers.
