Reba Curtis, 75, of Etowah, TN, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 peacefully at her home.
She was member of Calvary Baptist Church in Etowah and was the director of Vacation Bible School for 28 years. She was also the choir director and a Sunday school teacher for several years. She held various other roles in the church. She had a passion for children and elderly. She was a retired teacher from Christian Children's Center and frequently volunteered her time at local nursing homes. She was a faithful servant of the Lord for over 60 years and was eager to share her faith with all those she came in contact with.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Thompson and Jewell Thompson Morrow; sisters, Linda Grant, Sue Dills, and Haroldean "Pee Wee" Thompson.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Charles Curtis; children and spouses, Darla and Darrell Mosier and Brad and Nicki Curtis; grandchildren, Chelsee and Mark Mosier, Belle and Barrett Curtis; sister, Jane Anschuetz; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Bryan and Rev. Jeff Blanchett officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service.
Family and friends will assemble at Green Hill Cemetery, Wednesday, April 27 for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
