Rebecca (Becky) Brock Armstrong, 74, departed this life Saturday, November 19, 2016 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.

She was the wife of the late Norman (Runt) Brock and the late Lendell Armstrong. She was also preceded in death by her son, Nick Brock; sister, Mary Tuggle; and her parents, Henry and Irene Daugherty.

A lifelong resident of Englewood, TN, Becky received her B.S. in Education from Tennessee Wesleyan College and Masters from University of Tennessee. She was a retired teacher from Englewood Elementary where she taught for 26 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Englewood and pianist for Mars Hill UMC.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Mitzi and Peter Ward of Hixson, TN, Diane Armstrong of Orlando, FL, and Kellie and Thomas Behe of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Brock Ward of Chicago, IL, Emma Ward of Hixson, TN and Chaise and Salem Armstrong of Houston, TX.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2016 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. David Graybeal officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at Bordwine Funeral Home, Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 11:00 a.m., committal service. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the McMinn Regional Humane Society, PO Box 7 Athens, TN 37371, the organization that introduced her to her beloved dog, Alfie.
