Rebecca Ann Peeler Akins, 65, of Etowah, passed away, Monday, September 14, 2015 at her residence in Etowah,TN. She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her parents, Colonel and Ruth Phillips Manery; brother, Curtis Manery; and sister, Brenda Johnson. Rebecca loved her grandchildren, working in her flower beds, and her dog, Katy. Survivors include daughter and sons-in-law, Celeste and Chris Watts of Delano, TN; brother, Bob Manery of Nashville, TN; sister, Wanda Pinnock of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Bryce and Cayleigh Watts; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at McMinn memory Gardens with Rev. Mark Wade officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
