Rebecca “Jane” Morgan Trew, 91, of Delano, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 17, 2026. Jane was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life reflected deep faith, hard work, and an abiding love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Boyd Trew; her parents, Dewey and Roxie Williams Morgan; her sister, Joy Hutsell; and her brother, Quay Morgan, Sr.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Jenny Borden and husband, Bart, of Cleveland, Tennessee; granddaughter and spouse Rebecca and Kevin Eaton of Spring Hill, Tennessee; and grandson and spouse, Chet and Carrie Borden of Argo, Alabama. She was a loving great-grandmother to Gabe and Leviah Eaton of Spring Hill and Caylee Borden of Argo, Alabama. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Jane briefly taught at Claxton Elementary School and later worked alongside Boyd on the family dairy farm. She was a gifted seamstress, artist, and quilter, known for her craftsmanship and the care she put into everything she created. Jane and Boyd opened their home for many years of Bible studies, sharing their hospitality, faith, and encouragement with others. In her later years, Jane continued to invest in the lives of younger women, mentoring them and sharing wisdom shaped by her faith in Jesus and her many years of experience. A faithful member of Jones Chapel Church, Jane’s life was firmly rooted in her love for God and her family. She will be remembered for her boldness, wisdom, and unwavering faith, as well as for the lasting example she set for the generations who follow her.
The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Craig Riley for his compassionate care and friendship, and to the caregivers at Hearth Hospice for the loving care they provided for Jane and her family.
