Rickey Thomas Morrow, 56, passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at his residence. He was the son of the late William "Dub" Thomas Morrow, of Riceville, and Jena Marie Shell, of Etowah. He was employed at Bowaters for 22 years. He was a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church of Etowah. He was preceded in death by his parents, listed above; grandparents, Sterling and Minnie Morrow, of Riceville, R.B. and Cecil Rogers, of Athens; and infant great-niece. Survivors include his wife, Linda Riggs Morrow, of Etowah; one son, Adam Morrow, of Etowah; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra Bradley, of Sweetwater, Pam and Shane Yarber, of Etowah, and April and Jeremy Hembree, of Englewood; one brother and sister-in-law, Monty and Karen Morrow, of Riceville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Glenn and Sandra Riggs, of Etowah; nieces, Lacy Morrison, Shonna Smith, Skyler Shell and Whitney Hembree; nephews, Gariel Morrow, Tyler Bradley, Joey Hamby, Braden Yarber, Mark and his wife, Sheri Riggs, great-nephews, Tres Stone and Gavin Riggs; and special cousins, Sharon Brown and Steve Melton. Funeral service will be 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Rev. Chris Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home10 a.m. Monday and proceed to Etowah cemetery for the 11 a.m. committal service. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations may be made to Cane Creek Baptist Church of Etowah.
