Robert Alan Hanvey, 77, of Etowah, TN passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2023 under the care of hospice.

Robert was born on August 1, 1945 to Edith and Robert Hanvey, in Yonkers, New York.  He lived in New Jersey, Florida and for the past 43 years lived in Etowah, Tennessee.

He loved the quiet, simple, small-town life in Tennessee. He later moved to Suwanee, Georgia, and the caring community at Antebellum James Burgess, assisted living.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above.

Survivors include his sister, Pamela Lee; niece and her spouse, Lauree and Trace Watkins; nephew and spouse, Billy and Monique Lee; and four great nieces.

The family wishes to thank the dedicated doctors and the nurturing staff and caregivers who lovingly cared for Robert during his time in Suwanee.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 15 ^th , 2023 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Ellis officiating.

Interment will follow the service in Green Hill Cemetery beside his loving parents and will be private for the family.

No formal visitation will be held.
