Robert B. Johnson, 86, of Etowah passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at Morning Point Assisted Living of Athens. He was a native of Knoxville and lived in Polk County most of his life. A son of the late Samuel and Grace Johnson and a member of Everlasting Life Church of Englewood. He played gospel music at area churches for over 70 years and retired as a school teacher, after 46 years. Preceded in death by 3 sisters, Hilda Brewer, Inez Swaggerty and Sammie Maxey; and 1 brother, Sam Johnson.

Survivors include 2 daughters and son-in-law, Grace Johnson of Etowah, Lisa and Jason Calfee of Athens; 2 grandchildren, Olivia Harris and Joshua Stewart; siblings, Grace Nance, Michael and Larry Johnson all of Knoxville

Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Wade officiating.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service.
