Robert L. Jones, 77, of Etowah went to be with his Lord in heaven on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Robert was a hardworking man who enjoyed farming. He loved to do anything that kept him outdoors. He mostly enjoyed cutting firewood, mowing yards, and working in the hay fields to help feed his cattle.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Elbert and Haley Jones; brother, Norman "Bud" Jones; sister and brother-in-law, Thelma and Arlis Freeman; brother-in-law, Melvin Wilcox.

He leaves behind his wife, Anita Jones; son, Scott Jones; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and David Gray; grandson, Harley Gray; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond "Shorty" and Mangus Jones, Elmer and Rhonda "Peanut" Jones, Lonnie and Brenda Jones, Roger and Selena Jones, Irie Jones; sisters and brother-in-law, Lara Mae Wilcox, Christine and Mark Thomas; sister-in-law, Darlene Jones; an abundance of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2025 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. David Lones officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at Towee Falls Cemetery on Wednesday, December 17 for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.

Lynn Wilson, Frankie Masingale, Doug Jones, James "Pug" Jones, Danny Duckett, and David Martin will serve as pallbearers.
