Robert "Bobby" Kirkland Jr., 71,of Athens, passed away at Life Care Center of Athens on Wednesday, September 14, 2016.He was a long time member of Cog Hill Baptist Church. Bobby was theson of the late Robert Sr. and Nell Bain Kirkland. He was proceded in deathby his parents; and a brother, Dewey Kirkland. Survivors include hisdaughters and son-in-laws;Joy and Greg Smith andSuzie and James Harrell, threegrandchildren;Ryan Morgan,Nikki and Adam Pickett, andKenny and Cayla Moss,two great grandchildren;Terry Moss andSariah Moss, asister;Joyce Johnson, and abrother;Gary Kirkland.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2016 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.Rev. Joe Hatcher will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service.A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
