Robert "Cecil" Parsons, 57, of Etowah, TN, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Kindred Nursing Home in Loudon, TN. He was a retired carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. A son of the late Essie Allene Cornett and T.L. Parsons and was preceded in death by his parents, listed above; sister, Gloria Jean Parsons Petersons; brother, John David Parsons; and brother-in-law, Jerry Allen Davis.Survivors include "His Dearest One"; sons, Robert Aaron Parsons, and Benjamin Parsons; granddaughter, Zaranna Hurtey; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James T. and Jo Ann Parsons of Maxville, FL, and William Doyle and Sarah Parsons; sisters, Pat Parsons and Nicholas Liapis of Oxnard, CA, Delta Pearl Parsons Davis, Mt. Dora, FL, and Donna Marylee Parsons and Butch Magarian of Winder, GA; special niece, Brenda Gail Davis, Mt. Dora, FL and many nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 at Old Salam Cemetery with the Chaplain Mike Jackson officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
