Ron Carl McAllister, 52, a native and resident of Etowah, died Friday, May 18, 2012, at his residence. Born March 11, 1960, he was a 1978 graduate of McMinn Central High School. He was employed at M.I.G. in Athens. A son of the late Dane and Sue McAllister, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Alva McAllister and James and Stella Eaves; and his twin brothers, Ronald and Donald McAllister. Survivors include his wife, Connie McAllister of Etowah; two daughters and son-in-law, Ashley and Derek Jenkins of Etowah, and Amy and Dusty Fugate of Ten Mile; one son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Melanie Crowder of Philadelphia; five grandchildren, Hayden and Amelia Crowder, Shyanne Fugate and Lucy and McAllister Jenkins; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Vickie and Bruce Couturier of Etowah, and Marlene and Randy Chastain of Rossville, Ga.; one adopted brother, Daniel Jones of Etowah; one uncle and his wife, Richard and Judy McAllister of Decatur; three aunts and one spouse, Dot McAllister of Tate, Ga., Edna Eaves of Batavia, Ohio, and Sarah and John McHan of Saginaw, Texas; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Doyle Lloyd and the Rev. Lynn Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Brown, Jamie Polke, Jerry Robinson, Ben Whitaker, Chris Farmer and Ray Franklin. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
