Roy Spencer King, 49, of Englewood, TN passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a son of the late Darrell and Brenda King. He attended Marshall Hill Baptist Church and worked for CSX Railroad as a conductor/Engineer.
Preceded in death by his parents, listed above; grandparents, James and Martha Moore, Luther and Annie King; uncle, Jack King; and aunt, Martha "Boots" Collins.
Roy was an avid golfer; he always had a smile on his face, never met a stranger and will be missed dearly by his family and friends and all that knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Tina King of Englewood; step-children, Jake Ward, Luke and wife, Evelyn Ward and Chelsea Ward; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell and Rhonda King of Etowah, twin brother, Jerry and Leah King of Englewood; nephews, Jacob and wife Elizabeth Elder King, Corey King, Josh King and Logan King; great-niece, Hadleigh King; aunts and uncles, Paul and Joyce King of Cleveland, TN, Joyce King of Etowah, Jeannie King of Etowah, Shirley and Doug Swayne of Etowah, Wanda and Don Slack of Etowah, Carolyn Wilson of Davenport, FL, Dale and Delinda King of Etowah; many many cousins.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2016 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Watson officiating. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service. Interment will follow the service to Green Hill Cemetery.
Jake Ward, Luke Ward, Jacob King, Josh King, Corey King and Logan King will serve as pallbearers.Honorary pallbearers will be Mike King, Mike Cheek, Vinnie Williams, Nicky Black, Jonathan Wilson and Jeff Walker.
