Obituary

Roy Perian, born on December 29, 1948, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026. A cherished member of his family and community, Roy’s life was marked by devotion to his loved ones and his country, as well as a passion for craftsmanship and the outdoors.

Roy was a proud Vietnam veteran who honorably served two years in the Army. His commitment to service reflected a steadfast character that resonated throughout his life. Beyond his military service, Roy found joy in restoring old Ford trucks, woodworking, and spending time outside surrounded by tractors and the beauty of nature.

Family was at the heart of Roy’s proudest achievements. He deeply valued his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, considering them the greatest blessings of his life. Roy’s legacy lives on through his loving wife, Kay Perian; daughters and son-in-law, Tonya Cartwright and Teresa and Tracy Ware; and his grandchildren and their spouses: Nicole Cartwright and Mikey Armstrong, Conner and Alexis Lewis, Makayla and Justin Wilbanks, and Dylan and Hayley Ware. He was also a proud great-grandfather to three wonderful great-grandchildren. Roy is survived by his brother, Billy Perian, and his sisters and brother-in-law, Linda Brooks and Barbara and Doyle Withrow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Julie Perian; brothers Junior Perian, Cletus Perian, Birch Perian, and Frankie Perian; and his infant sister, Geneva Perian.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Gentiva Hospice and to granddaughter, Nicole, for their loving and dedicated care during Roy’s final days. Their compassion brought comfort and peace to both Roy and his family.
