Ruby Pauline Casteel, 88 of Etowah, TN passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 at NHC Healthcare of Athens. A native of McMinn County and daughter of the late Tom and Eliza Lockhart; she was a member of the 1st Church of God, East Etowah.

Preceded in death by her Husband of 60 years, Paul Casteel; parents, listed above; and 3 sisters.

Survivors include her 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Geraldean Edwards and friend Robert M. Rogers of Rome, GA, Ann and Van Elkins of Athens, TN; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Gail Casteel of Etowah, Jerry and Robin Casteel of Athens, TN; grandchildren, Tony and wife Lisa Edwards, John Edwards III, Jason and wife Mindy Casteel, Misty and husband Benji Jamerson, Heather and husband Kalep Lucus, Holly and husband Billy Berry and Samuel Elkins; great-grandchildren, Branson Edwards, T.J., Brick and Brock Edwards, Jordan and Hannah Casteel, Abby Jamerson, Colbie Casteel, Jonathan Lucas, Brayden Berry; sisters, Mildred Patterson of Benton, TN, Virginia Smith of Athens, TN

Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Van Elkins officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 Wednesday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Mars Hill Cemetery for the 10:00 a.m. committal service.

Jason and Jordan Casteel, Carey Hicks, Tony Edwards, John Edwards III, Samuel Elkins Kobe Sisk and Benji Jamerson will serve as pallbearers.
