Ruby Casey Crockett, 73, of Englewood, passed away, Saturday, April 20, 2013 at NHC Healthcare of Athens, TN.A native of Monroe County, she was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Claude and Pearl J. Casey and was preceded in death by her parents, listed above; brothers, Kenning "Kenny", Robert, and Claude Junior Casey; and sisters, Thelma Hubbard, Roberta Millsaps, Creed Earl Wilson, Cleo Freeman and Mildred Lewis. Survivors include her husband Michael Odoran Crockett of Englewood, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Lara Crockett of Englewood, TN; daughter, Crystal Cox of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Logan and Tyler Crockett, and April Abboud; great-grandchild' Yasmine Abboud; and brother-in-law, Henry Lewis. A special thank you to NHC Healthcare of Athens and Amedysis Hospice. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Mars Hill Cemetery with the Pastor Kevin Cummins officiating. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, April 23, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.
