Ruby Cole Roberts, 85 resident and native of Etowah, TN passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at her residence. She was a daughter of the late Ben and Minnie Cole of Etowah.

She was a longtime member of Brookhill Baptist Church, but also enjoyed attending North Etowah and Delano Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a mother and homemaker.

Preceded in death by her husband, of 66 years, Howard Roberts; son, Danny R. Roberts Killed February 4, 1970 in Vietnam; parents, listed above; brother, Curtis Cole of Etowah; 2 sisters, Opal Duckett Shultz of Tellico and Pearl Duckett of Dayton, OH.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Ray Harrill of Etowah; granddaughter and spouse, Missy and Jeff Lynn of Niota; sister, Ruth Daugherty of Maryville; several nieces and nephews; special neighbor, Jean Taylor.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Shady Grove Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Rowland officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
