Ruth Brooks Crofts, age 91 of Englewood, TN, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 at Etowah Healthcare Center. She was the daughter of the late James (Jim) and Delia Brooks. Ruth was a member of Englewood First Church of God. She was a retired Niota Textile. Ruth was preceded in death by her Husband, William Crofts; her parents, listed above; brothers, Clifford Brooks, Edward Brooks, Kenneth Brooks, and Herbert Brooks; and sister, Ovelene Cochran.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-laws, Bill and Cynthia Crofts of Athens, TN, Jim and Vickie Crofts of Smyrna, TN, and Scott Crofts of Englewood, TN; grandchildren, Shae Tuggle, Tanya Hamilton, Caycie Crofts, Christian Crofts, Josiah Crofts, Ben Crofts, Matthew Crofts, Caleb Crofts, Rebekah Crofts, Charis Crofts, and James Woodeson; great-grandchildren, Peyton Woodeson, Hunter and Brant Sutherland, Tyler Peeler, Dalton Merrill, Brayleigh Crofts, and Jayden Crofts; and sister-in-law, Otalou Cochran Brooks of Dalton, GA.

Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2017 in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Chism officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday January 31, 2017 at the funeral home and proceed to Chestua Methodist Cemetery for the 10:00 a.m. committal service. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
