Obituary

Ruth Elizabeth Miller, of Englewood, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at her home. A Native and lifelong resident of Englewood, she was a member of Englewood First Church of God. A daughter of the late George O. and Sallie Stiles Miller, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ollin Dinnis and an infant brother. She was a loving mother of four children. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Faye and Johnny Burris and Connie Gail and Scott Allen, all of Englewood; Two sons, and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Regina Miller of Riceville, and Gregory Scott and Janie Miller of Athens; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Joyce Mason of Knoxville, and Kenneth and Clara Faye Gay of Englewood; six grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Williams of Etowah, Dustin Rodney Miller of Athens, Zackery Keith and Kayla Anne Ruth Allen of Englewood, Gillian Kathleen Roberts of Englewood and Ryne Scott Miller of Riceville; and two very special nephews, Lynn and Brian Gay and their families. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 20, at Englewood First Church of God with Pastor Kevin Cummins and Pastor Will Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Keith Allen, Dustin Miller, Ryne Miller, Shelby Williams Lynn Gay, and Brian Gay. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Raper, Tracy Bowers, Lynn Ingram and Lloyd Morgan. The family requests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, c/o Faye Forgety, 120 County Road 447, Athens, TN 37303.
